Have another PERM labor approved but am hoping this one gets approved so I can get the earlie PD.
Going by the recent trend (per spreadsheets generated by someone at immigrationportal) I am actually thinking there might be a chance all the BEC backlogs get cleared by December, if not by the stated goal of September.

Has anyone done refinance from BOA on EAD / AOS (expired H1B & I-94)?
My current home loan is with BOA & I am trying to refinance with them, but they say we can't approve now because of status. I locked in rate in Sept. 2010 & now I am stuck as rates have gone up. After 4 months they have denied.
I don't know how to proceed further. They are not ready to give any letter & the lending policy. Any suggestions please......
I got my loan financed from BOA. I was putting 25% down on 550K home. They did not ask me even a single proof of my status before approving the loan . I am on EAD. Just a thought. May be you can increase the amount you are putting out of your pocket and may be they will approve. Again, just check this with them

I understand your frustration. Since there is no spillover in the first quarter of new fiscal year, it was expected that PD would move back. How can you you expect 2006 PD for Oct when there is no spillover visa numbers.
Next year Jul-Sep 2009, PD should move to mid 2006 again.

That means we have lost around 2,40,000 unused visas. I heard that there is a total amount of 3,00,000 unused employment visas of the previous years due to the great efficiency of USCIS. Out of this 61,000 is kept apart for Schedule A nurses and PT's and the remaining 2,40,000 thousand would have been divided amoung employment catagories if the amendment had passed,clearing lot of our backloggs.
REMEMBER, THE RECAPTURE OF UNUSED VISAS IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT PRIORITIES OF CORE AND THE DOOR IS SLAMMED ON OUR FACES AGAIN BY HYPOCRITES LIKE HILARY AND CALIFORNIA SENATORS.
Its the high time we convince the senators who said NAYS. Lets start SOME KIND OF CAMPAIN aiming these guys. I am sure that core's hands are there behind this amendment. Well done IV. Don't get dissappointed, keep trying for Skill bill or for similar amendments. Its really unfortunate that we lost a very very big chance. Lets do something immediately.
Following is the text of amendment.

how come are you working in a university that's giving admissions to such a bunch of crappy folks...!!?? Given this fact, can we also safely assume that the university you are teaching-in is a Crappy one, which could only attract the bottom pile from your above list of crappy-universities??
Univs take business decisions. Enrollment generates revenue through tuition. Some states also pay State Schools for each registered credit.
Univs have to admit whatever is available. Some crappy students (foriegn + American) have to be admitted. Some state schools have very low requirements for in-state students. There is no choice.
Further, these students have to graduate. Once again, there is no choice.
For most departments, faculty quality is independent of student quality.

Thank you karan007, pvhemanth, zappy, dvrao4, lp2007 and permfiling for the contributions. I am so happy that we were able to conclude this round with the help of only the junior members. Some of you have not posted much. Obviously, you found lot of things on this site that piqued your interest. I appreciate the fact that you did not hesitate to pull the trigger. Because of you, we can close this round and move to the final round.
I hope the final round starts with a person who visits this site regularly, find helpful suggestions and tips, and is generally happy with things moving in the right direction and knows IV is an important part of this process. Even though he supports the rally, he cannot come because he probably lives on the west coast, but would have definitely attended the rally if he or she were working in NJ, MD, PA, VA or any other neighboring states. He doesn�t have many questions to ask, but once in a while she does have a quick question, but rejects that idea because of the process involved. She knows that a user id is required to post any questions.

My guess is that we have discussed enough about the bill. Next in the line is the dream act for children of undocumented immigrants. Do we want to have a campaign to add children of legal immigrants to the bill or we want to only discuss the implications about the act, once it is passed by house and senate.

But its really unfortunate to know that President Bush is gonna veto the bill altogether.
