I guess most of us under EB-3 can kiss our GC dream goodbye!! If we remain under EB-3...we will be waiting here forever and we cant move onto EB-2 with the new rules they are proposing....What a way to start the week!!!

This is what will help us to clear backlog ! Wanted to post it few days back when news came from UK they wanted to bring more immigrants as one of solution to get their economy back on track.
Guys, IF any thing may come as 'rescuer' this year and help us to come out from this backlog and move the dates forward in next year visa bulletins, that would be 'current economy and housing market situation'. IF any thing can convinced Congress to clear visa recapture bill this year, it would be only 'current housing market situation'. To get the economy back on track next year, housing market has to be improved and its not happening !

I got financing using EAD in March 2010, and got refinancing recently still using EAD but not the WFC. There should no criteria or need to have GC only. Talk to agent or other lender and you need one, "DESI company" let me know.

SGP, It took 3-4 weeks for a co-worker in eb2 to get an approval once labor was filed(excludes Pre activities like ads etc)

I feel IV actions are hurting EB3-I more than any one. It just my feeling. I contribited close to $500 and my time.
I understand your pain ( I am in the same boat ). EB3-I PD:June 2003. All we can do is keep the struggle going.
Why should you contribute, because if it wasnt for IV following up with Congresswoman Lofgren, your signature would simply read:
"PD Date: 03/2003 EB3,i140 aprvd from NSC: 09/2005".

Hello Onemay,
I live in Minneapolis. I too am on H4.Same thing happened to both my husband and myself here last October.We had moved recently from Indiana and the DMV said they won't issue new licenses for both myself and my husband (it doesn't matter if u r on H1 or H4)until we give the extended I94. We had our Indiana licences also canceled .We didn't know what to do and then we enquired some of our friends and came to know that if we show our original USCIS Receipts for Extension filed they give ur license for 6 months from the USCIS Receipt Date. So we did that and got our extension until April. U have to show the Original Receipt ,No Xerox .And now we got our extension papers and reapplied for a new license and got it. May be u too can enquire about this,because I think all DMVs tend to follow similar rules.

Kudos to USCIS though for keeping themselves employed. They have made such a mess of what could be a simple immigration planning process, by introducing layers upon layers of groupings, arbitrary allocation number limits and what not. A similar but perhaps even more complicated rocket science mess exists in another govt entity - the IRS.

Hey make sure that I am right by talking to an attorney. They usually charge $150 for for this suggestion. Please spend that money. If you do not have that money, I will give you a loan. Pay me back once you start working.
